Certified Massage Therapist
|
Shane Keller
My name is Shane Keller and I am a massage technician at Headlines. I have been a practicing massage therapist for about five years. Directly out of high school, I worked in a factory as a welder, and saw what the rigors of factory work did to people's health. The toll it takes on one's body when they would spend hours standing, lifting, bending, or sitting. I decided I wanted to do something to make my own life, as well as other lives better, healthier, and more productive. I chose to go into massage therapy. I received my training from the YMCA, where they offered a one year certified massage therapy course, taught by a blind man who has been teaching this course for 36 years. I had my own massage practice for the first three years. I then joined the Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva, working with 18 other massage therapist in a large European Spa. For the next two years, I had the chance to do some cross-training in other types of massage therapy and skin treatments. Although the learning experience of working at such a larger spa was invaluable, driving one hundred miles a day became very exhausting after a couple of years. I joined Headlines in February 2000. My specialty area is Swedish massage, for which I have logged over 500 hours. My goal at Headlines is to make everyone's life so much healthier, more relaxed and stress free. If you have any questions regarding treatments and massage therapy, please give me a call at 1-262-636-1900. |

Stylist - Salon/Spa Director
|
Dana Solberg
I'm Headlines Design Studio & Day Spa's owner and director. I am a 1985 graduate of Washington Park High School. I attended Kenosha College of Cosmetology and graduated with a degree in Cosmetology in 1986. I started my career in 1986 with Glemby International in the salon at Pranges Department Store. While at Pranges, I was the assistant manager of the salon. For two years I was an educational trainer for the upper mid-west region. I competed in Men's hair cutting and was awarded several stylist and manager awards. After marrying and having my daughter, I decided to work part-time in the salon only. I then had my son and shortly after became the salon manager. In 1995 I chose to leave the corporate salon behind and I opened the first Headlines Hair Design Studio in Racine, WI. For five years our team grew and the business expanded into other areas, bringing in nails, skin-care, and make-up services. After searching the city for two years, we found a new home for the salon. We relocated to our current location in February 2000. We have a 4000 sq. ft. facility that houses a kids salon, reception and retail room, shampoo room, main salon, and a day spa with four treatment rooms, jacuzzi room, shower room, bathroom, two changing rooms, and resting area. I enjoy helping my team grow and working with terrific people. I believe that education and an open mind is the key to success. We have a fun and inviting atmosphere. Our team will continue to grow both in size and in spirit. What I think is great about what I do, is helping other people. I love to teach what I do and why I do it. To make people not only look, but feel better. My clients and my team are also my friends, and what's better than going to work with your friends and doing something that's so fun. Every day is a new challenge and I love it! I created Headlines so that we have a place to learn and experience the beauty and wellness that we each are so deserving of! |
